One of a short series. The mood hit me one day as I was walking back from the post office so I took out my camera and took some shots.

I decided to call this the beauty of sleep for two reasons.

1.) I was going through a dark time and needed to experience some natural beauty

2.) The trees aren't actually dead. They are just in a resting state as the temperature gets colder. Therefore, I'm just capturing the beauty it has as it rests, much like a lover who looks upon his/her other as they sleep, just soaking in the image before them as it peacefully rests.


Now I won't lie. I did a little manupulation to the photo to make it a little more vibrant and added some soft focus using Adobe photoshop. But mostly, it was just the saturation of the colors that were adjusted. Nothing else.
